When we lost our mother in 2024, my sister and I arranged her funeral. This was one of the hardest things we've ever done. At the funeral parlour, we came across a brochure for a company making large memorial stones from cremated ashes. They were beautiful, but far beyond what we could justify.

My sister was struggling so I wanted to give her something to hold onto, literally. So I set out to create a small memorial stone of our own. It took me a year of trial and error to get the process right. When I finally handed her that first memorial stone, something shifted. Today, it sits at her front entrance, alongside a photo of mum and a poem. She tells me it brings her real comfort just knowing Mum is still there with her. 

Since then, I've made memorial stones for friends and family who have faced their own losses (loved ones and pets). Cremation Keepsakes was born from that first stone: a belief that everyone deserves an affordable, beautiful way to keep someone they love close, wherever they are.
